Economic Forecast and Sovereign Ratings
Reports on country ratings, based on the results of five-year forecasts for the domestic and external economy of a given country, with brief comments on current political and economic developments, and on developing trends (updated twice annually).
Comprehensive Evaluation Reports
Comprehensive reports covering the political and economic state of a given country, based on an analysis of its macroeconomic situation, developing issues and trends, and relevant features. Country risk analysis of the worldÕs major economies are available in a concise and accessible format (updated twice annually).
Basic Reports
Reports presenting a long-term economic perspective, in eight chapters covering basic information pertaining to a countryÕs overall politics, economy, and society, including: (1) geography, politics and society; (2) national economy; (3) industrial structure; (4) employment and commodity prices; (5) fiscal and monetary policy; (6) balance of payments and trade, exchange policy; (7) external debt; (8) relationship with Japan (updated once annually).

Investment Environment Questionnaire Results
Questionnaires collected from approximately 400 experts, from the perspective of companies making direct investments abroad. Each questionnaire is comprised of evaluations based on a maximum of 100 points, and the survey is conducted on the countries being rated by JCIF. (Updated once annually)

Public Relations & Publishing Services
JCIF supplies the following types of public relations and publishing services.
Public Relations Services
- Lectures
Lecture events featuring domestic and overseas intellectuals as speakers are held on a frequent basis to address themes related to the international economy, international finance, country risk and debt problems (ten times during fiscal 2001).
- Workshops
Workshops: Post country visit briefings by JCIF staff to member institutions. Briefings are held after every county visit by JCIF staff (eleven times during fiscal 2001).
- Seminars
Seminar events jointly sponsored with the World Bank and other international institutions, domestic and overseas think tanks and other supporters, which are held frequently (nine times during fiscal 2001).
Publishing Services
Financial Review: Brochures covering lecture meetings organized by JCIF, papers on international finance, the Japanese "Big Bang", and other topics (Prepared periodically).
